Caracas

Mount Ávila (El Ávila National Park)
Dominating the skyline of Caracas, Mount Ávila offers stunning views of the city and the Caribbean Sea. You can hike the trails or take the Teleférico de Caracas (cable car) to the top, where they can enjoy the fresh air and scenic vistas.

Plaza Bolívar
The historic heart of Caracas, Plaza Bolívar is surrounded by important buildings such as the Cathedral of Caracas, the Palacio de las Academias, and the Municipal Palace. The square is dedicated to Simón Bolívar, the liberator of much of Latin America.

Casa Natal del Libertador Simón Bolívar
The birthplace of Simón Bolívar, this historic house is now a museum showcasing artefacts from Bolívar’s life, including personal belongings, documents, and period furniture.

National Pantheon of Venezuela
The final resting place of Simón Bolívar and other notable Venezuelan figures, the National Pantheon is an important historical site. The interior is adorned with impressive murals depicting key moments in Venezuelan history.

Contemporary Art Museum of Caracas (MACC)
Known for its extensive collection of modern and contemporary art, the MACC houses works by international and Venezuelan artists, including pieces by Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró.

Parque Los Caobos
A large and beautiful park known for its tree-lined paths, fountains, and public art. The park is home to the famous Fountain of Venezuela and is a popular spot for relaxation.

Museum of Fine Arts (Museo de Bellas Artes)
Adjacent to Parque Los Caobos, this museum features a diverse collection of Venezuelan and international art, ranging from pre-Columbian artefacts to modern art.

Parque del Este (Francisco de Miranda Park)
One of the largest and most popular parks in Caracas it offers gardens, lakes, walking trails and a small zoo. The park is a perfect place for picnics and outdoor activities.

Central University of Venezuela (UCV)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the UCV campus is renowned for its modernist architecture designed by Carlos Raúl Villanueva, and its impressive collection of public art, including works by Alexander Calder and Jean Arp.

El Hatillo
A charming colonial town located within the Caracas metropolitan area, known for its colourful houses, cobblestone streets, artisan shops, and traditional Venezuelan restaurants.

Catedral de Caracas
An important religious site located on the north side of Plaza Bolívar. The cathedral is one of the oldest in the city and features beautiful colonial architecture and artwork.

Paseo Los Próceres
A monumental avenue dedicated to the heroes of Venezuela’s independence. It is lined with statues, fountains, and gardens.

Tobago
North East of Caracas lies Tobago, with slowly lapping turquoise waves in quiet coves and crystal-clear warm waters with white sand beaches, Tobago has all the makings of an unforgettable dreamscape.

Fruit, vegetables and meats are grown or farmed on the island, with many locals selling life boosting juices from their own groves alongside fish caught that very morning. This island is quiet and humble. Tobago is also an island of extraordinary biodiversity, the islands main ridge forest reserve – almost 4000ha of tropical rainforest – is said to be the oldest protected land reserve in the western hemisphere, declared in 1776 by the British crown. The island is particularly well known as a birdwatching destination, with more than 200 species including parrots and the ruby-topaz hummingbird.

Pirates bay, this beautiful, forest-backed curve of sand has such strong Robinson Crusoe vibes that it featured on screen in the original 1952 Robinson Crusoe movie.

Tobago museum has a charming collection within fort king George it displays ameridian artefacts colonial relics and maps from the 1600s. Turtle beach is the nesting grounds for leatherback hawksbill green loggerhead and olive ridley turtles.

Grenada
North East of Caracas is Grenada, here you will find St George’s known for its museums, circular harbour and colourful French Colonial style houses. Also called as the ‘Spice Island’, where the air is filled with the warm aromas of nutmeg and cinnamon. Take a jeep adventure to the Grand Etang National Park where you will be amazed at the enormous water filled crater.

Barbados
North East of Caracas is Barbados, explore this island at a leisurely pace by bike and then on to a sun drenched beach for a well-earned rest and swim. Or explore the colourful, sub aqua world through the port hole of a cool air-conditioned submarine.

St Lucia
North East of Caracas is St Lucia, it is the perfect example of paradise in the Caribbean. You are treated to a colourful floral extravaganza as well as a huge distinct collection of interesting fauna. There are the majestic twin peaks of the famous Pitons Mountains and the world’s only ‘drive-through’ volcano in Soufriere.
